Not supported in this version
- Velocity, Folia and Fabric builds. VoiceSniffer installs on the backend Paper servers; voice routing on a proxy network is Simple Voice Chat's own job.
- Voice mods other than Simple Voice Chat.
- Speaker identification beyond the player identity Simple Voice Chat already provides.
CPU
Transcription costs CPU, and where you spend it is your choice:
- Embedded spends your Minecraft server's CPU. Inference is asynchronous and thread-budgeted (1, 2 or 4 threads), but it is the same machine your game loop runs on.
- Sidecar moves it to a container — same host or another box entirely — so a burst of speech cannot compete with the server tick.
Measured throughput for a 4-vCPU processor is on the capacity page. Read it before promising a large network that moderation keeps up.
