Two shapes
VoiceSniffer is in development and is not on sale yet. There is no public download. It launches first on BuiltByBit; release news goes out in the Sniffer Studio Discord. These pages describe the build as it exists today so that setup is not a surprise on launch day.
VoiceSniffer is sold two ways. The plugin is the same in both; what changes is where transcription runs and who pays for the CPU.
- Self-host, one-time. You run the processor — Docker beside your server, or embedded inside the plugin. Your hardware, your limits.
- Cloud, monthly. Transcription runs on the Sniffer Studio fleet. The plugin talks to an endpoint assigned by your subscription, and language access is enforced per request.
A cloud subscription also entitles you to self-host while it is active, so a cloud customer can move processing onto their own box without buying twice.
The line-up
Prices below are the planned launch prices. Nothing is on sale yet.
| Edition | Price | Languages | Cloud players |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-time | $19.99 once | All packs, on your hardware | — |
| Starter | $5 / mo | English | up to 50 concurrent |
| Server | $10 / mo | EU pack: en cs sk de fr es pl | up to 150 concurrent |
| Pro | $20 / mo | EU pack plus auto-detect | up to 500 concurrent |
| Titan | $40 / mo | All languages plus auto-detect | up to 1,500 across 5 networks |
Player counts are soft caps on cloud processing. If you self-host, your own hardware is the limit — see sizing and capacity for what one small VM actually carries.
The licensed unit is one network — one proxy tree or one standalone server — with unlimited backend servers under it. Backends are never counted.
Languages and entitlements
Rule packs exist for English and Czech today; the wider language lists above are what a cloud tier licenses, not a promise that every pack already ships. Language access is checked by the processor on every request, so a pinned language outside your plan is refused rather than silently downgraded, and auto-detect narrows itself to the packs you are licensed for.
The mechanics are on the processor page.
Rent-to-own
Any cloud subscription active for four consecutive paid months unlocks the permanent self-host licence, claimable once per account. Renting turns into owning; you do not pay twice for the same plugin.
